Hopper is a block that players can use to transfer items in Minecraft. It is one of the most important items of Minecraft inventory. It is a block that is used as a minecart delivery system. Hopper can be also used to create automatic furnaces and even breweries.

How to make a Hopper in Minecraft?

You can craft hopper in four easy steps. Read the points below to know how you can craft hopper in Minecraft.

Step 1 – Make the chest

This step is optional. If you already have a chest then you can skip this step.

You can make a chest with 8 wooden planks. The planks need to be placed in the crafting table area. But remember leave the middle grid empty. Make sure that you use plank and not logs for this step.

Step 2 – Search for iron

It look like stone and have beige flecks on them. Once you have your iron and chest, you can make the hopper using the recipe.

Tip: – Underground and Caves areas are the good places to get iron ore.

Step 3 – Crafting recipe

In this step you have to create a crafting table with the help of 4 wooden planks. Now place the table and use it. You are required to add the items in the crafting grid according to the order that needs to be followed for a 3×3 grid.

• In the 1st row, add one Iron ingot in the 1st and 3rd grid. Leave the middle grid empty.
• In the 2nd row, add one Iron ingot in the 1st and 3rd grid. Place the Chest in the middle grid.
• In the 3rd row, add one Iron ingot in the middle grid, leaving both sides empty.

When you placed all the items in the crafting area with the right pattern, your hopper will be completed and ready to use in a few seconds and appear in the box to the right.

Step 4 – Move your Hopper to the Inventory

When your Hopper is ready, you need to move it to your inventory.

How to combine a hopper with Minecart?

For combining a hopper with a Minecart, you have to use your newly made hopper from inventory and place it directly above the Minecart in the crafting area. This is called ‘Minecart with hopper’.

Minecart with hopper can travel like a Minecart and pick up things like a hopper. Additionally, it can also move with a much faster speed than a normal minecart while passing over the powered rails.
